VB Tech’s ATS-LS Series Extra Long Stroke electro-dynamic shakers represent a breakthrough in high-displacement, high-velocity shock and vibration testing. Designed to meet the most demanding mechanical test requirements, these systems deliver performance previously achievable only through large hydraulic actuators—yet with greater accuracy, lower waveform distortion, and enhanced repeatability.
Developed and manufactured by VB Tech, and now supported across Europe through VBT Europe, the ATS-LS Series brings advanced impact simulation capabilities to industries including aerospace, defence, marine, and industrial systems engineering.
With stroke capacities of up to 400mm peak-to-peak, shock velocities reaching 6m/s, and force ratings between 60kN and 200kN, these shakers are built to simulate the extreme dynamics of catapult take-offs, arrested landings, and other high-energy impact events.
At the core of the ATS-LS Series is VB Tech’s RAICE design philosophy—a foundation of Reliability, Accuracy, Intelligence, Cost-effectiveness, and Energy-efficiency. This ethos is evident in every detail of the system’s engineering—from the rigid trunnion design and minimal lateral vibration, to the modular construction that allows for straightforward maintenance and system integration.
The ATS-LS Series offers a compelling alternative to traditional hydraulic systems, providing large load support (up to 1,500kg), high test precision with low waveform distortion, air-cooled operation for simplicity of construction, and a proven platform for qualification testing, durability evaluation, and impact simulation in both R&D and production environments.
